Daily I must make myself small so he can be big. It is not always an easy thing to do but makes life so much more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.

Cali helped lead a classmate to Jesus and got him spirit filled today. How awesome is our God that he can use a 7 year old in such an awesome way. I am so proud of my baby girl.

My Sunday morning

6:25am
God “wake up, it’s time to talk”

Jenn “I’m sleeping” (tug of covers, roll over)

God “I want you to pray”

Jenn “But I’m tired...”

God “Don’t you want souls saved?”

Jenn “I do, but later”

God “I said pray.”

Jenn “that’s just me talking to myself...”

God “Now.”

Jenn “Oh, is it really you?”

God “Obey Me.”

How easy was God’s command? It was simple. Wake up and pray to see the salvation of souls. Was it about my current situation? Was it anything about me? No. God asked me to… Continue

Close encounter of the God kind

I was reading in Luke 17, the story of the ten lepers and saw this in a way I had never seen before:

When Jesus came through, ten lepers called out to Him, to have mercy on them.

According to the Jewish law, leprosy could range from a simple rash to true leprosy. A priest would declare them unclean and they would be cast out from society.

Jesus commanded the ten to go show themselves to the priest. They went in obedience to His word.

As they were going, the leprosy disappeared. As the… Continue

Open up the skies

I have had this song in my heart mind and mouth for the last week. It has become an anthem within me just stretching my hands forth and proclaiming that I will no longer be satisfied with an average life. I want all that God has for me in this life.
Ordinary by definition means not exceptional in any way especially in quality or ability or size or degree. I do not want my walk with God, my church, or my family to be ordinary in any way. I want it to exceptional and better than I could ever fatho… Continue

Hey, I drove by an Elementary School sign today saying they are now interviewing for all day Kindergarten, and I thought of you. How are all of you?

Sendera Ranch is a beautiful place. Northwest's schools (except one middle school) score very high on all the rating scales. It's a large district, but usually small schools, so a good mix. And that is a beautiful area to live in - a small town feeling but just down the road from Fort Worth shopping!

Schools are by address. If you find an "exemplary school" those are the "best" based on the Texas rating system. And then when you look for houses, the realtor site usually tells you what elementary school that house is for. Here's the link for Eagle Mountain ratings:

Here's the site to search for the accountability ratings for each district.

Hi Jen, If you are going to look at any houses in the Keller (KISD) or Southlake (CISD), these cities have some of the best school ratings in Texas. Even if you look at a house in Fort Worth that is on the Keller city border you may even find that the kids would be enrolled in a Keller school. So you will just need to check with the agent. Both cities have websites so you could have a look at their ratings. I homeschool with Accelerated Christian Education (ACE). The curriculum is great (the math a little boring but I substituted a little with MATH-U-SEE for elementary). The Bible is woven into everything they study and do. My kids are so grounded in the Word because of it. There are a few families that Home School in our church, we have a play day every month, and there are quite a few churches that run programs for HS to in the area.
