Bringing a living Jesus to a dying world

Two Worlds

I was riding in my car today back from a sales meeting where we were planning an up coming home show. My lead generator was with me feeling a little under the weather. I went to put a Worship CD in and almost didn’t because I began to wonder what he would think about me. The God spoke to my heart He said you live in two worlds. I push the CD in and drove in silence most of the way back thinking about that one little statement. You live in two worlds. It kept going over and over in my head. I got home and talked with my wife about it. I knew it was true. There is a part of me that wants to be the man of God I am called to be. The one that is willing to stand for Christ be a witness, bring many people to the kingdom

Then there is the other side of me. The one that wants to fit it. That can conform to who I am around. The weak side of me that would rather go with the flow then make waves. My wife told me she had felt the same way that we were going though the motions again. Caught up in everyday life and what had to be done.

I think many of us face this same issue. There is the God part of us who reaches for greatness, wants to become everything God has called us to be. Then life happens and we are pulled along still wanting to be that thing we know we should be but discouraged or wore down from the storms of life.

One of the things that I had found myself saying is that once I move to Texas I will be the person I am suppose to be. But in truth that would be a lie because if I don’t do it here what would make me do it there. Sometimes you have to step back, look at life and see where you’re. Are you living a life worthy of Christ or are you going though the motions have a form of Godliness or a good moral life and deny the power (cross ) of Christ.
