CLC People

Bringing a living Jesus to a dying world

Hey guys,

This past Sunday morning, Pastor John prayed for us to have strategies for getting 3 people to church in 30 days.

Let's share here some of the things we're getting, so we're all encouraged. Those of you who are bolder, help the rest of us!! :-D

I'll go first...

My friends who have a businesses might come to church on a Wednesday night for a networking opportunity...and then have a collision with Christ when they get here.

No way, I just did that up here without even knowing that’s what you guys were doing. I challenge the church up here the last two wed to pray for three people to have an opportunity to witness to and bring them to our church.

I listen to the sermons from CLC a lot but had not heard last week sermon yet. Funny how God works that way.

My wife all ready got to invite one of the girls she works with to come to church. In fact the girl asked her what church she went to.
God is Awesome I look forward to hearing all about what Gods doing down there with you guys.

if you need help with artwork, we can do the artwork in house, if you would like to print them.

The team does brilliant stuff

I'm contemplating having some cards made up that say something about CLC tx.... "We love people and would love to get to know you! Come see us any Sunday 10am or 6pm or Wednesday nights at 6:30 with the church address and phone number (maybe with my personal number)" and dole these cards out with random "acts of kindness". Buy someone a coffee and give them a card. On two occasions in two days someone needed change at the Walmart checkout in front of me and I thought of it then.

Maybe if we do a small thing to help or to be a blessing for a stranger, They'll be more open to Him who wishes to do a big thing.

If we pray to see opportunities, I believe God will reveal them.

Just a thought....

Awesome idea Melodie ,

Like a sort of business card, the church logo on one side and on the other all the contact details and times for the church and maybe a space for you to write your own name and contact number.

Its a brilliant way of introducing people to your church.

this is awesome, Melodie/Brenton!

we have the church business cards, with the service times, a map, and the usual info on there, (so we can use those in the meantime), but I love the idea of putting a phrase or a few sentences on there that show who we are, and also leaving some space to write our name/number on..

and i love the way you want to use them...

i was thinking the same thing just the other day...not just handing a card or a CD, but that it would be a lot more effective if accompanied by a big tip at a restaurant, for example. :-D

What I did today up here in Mi was I talked to buddy of mine at work, invited him and his future wife to church and invited them to come over to our house afterwards for lunch. I gave him the church business card as well. I like what you said mel about the restaurant thing. I think taking somone out for lunch afterwards works great as well.

Defiantly love the ideas!!
Melodie, if you'd like I can create a couple of card designs while I'm up at the church office, it's very simple and we could all vote are favorites!
But yes, let's get creative with this!

We all need to commit to giving a few of these out each month in very awesome ways! It could be great!!! :)

My 3 in 30

I have 4 people coming sunday pm.
I started making strategies friendships over the last couple of months with the aim of helping people find a local church they could connect to in a deep and spiritual way.

They are all christians...without a doubt...but all are hungry.

remember our target are not the unchurch ...there are very few in Texas...but those that have no authentic, powerful christian experience
